The KOH
Library and Culture Center, partnered with Evie Lieb, is proud to present "In
Search of the Perfect Recipe for...Passover" on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 7:00pm
in the KOH Library and Cultural Center. This is the first program in the ongoing
series, "In Search of the Perfect Recipe for...", that will take us on a journey
with Evie Lieb, and other passionate Jewish cooks, in search of 'perfect'
recipes in a myriad of categories. Recipes for sharing and preserving family
food traditions, for serving up fun in a variety of cultural traditions, and for
preserving Yiddishkeit will be discussed. These educational, inspiring, and
delicious classes will be open to the entire Sacramento community.
For
Monday evening's program please come with questions and stories to share about
your favorite recipes and family food traditions. Bring your appetite for fun,
mental stimulation, creativity, community, and culture. You are encouraged to
bring any Passover artifacts and ritual items (such as Haggadahs, Seder plates,
and matzah covers) you might want to share with others. This first program will
not be a typical cooking class, but will rather be a discussion on the search
for perfect recipes to honor and celebrate home, hearth, family, and Passover as
the time on the Jewish holiday calendar most associated with food.
There is
no program fee although donations to our self-supporting, non-profit programs
are always gratefully accepted. Please contact Taliah Berger, KOH Program
Director, at 916-541-3720 or taliah@kohlcc.org to RSVP or for more information. RSVPs are
appreciated, but are not necessary to attend.
